Le travail d’un livreur à vélo consiste à réceptionner une commande dans un restaurant puis à aller la livrer chez le consommateur. Les restaurateurs sont donc les premiers interlocuteurs des livreurs.
Que l’on soit une franchise à rayonnement national ou bien un petit bistrot intimiste, avoir recours aux plateformes de livraison est un moyen simple et efficace d’augmenter son chiffre d’affaires, sans embauche et sans changements majeurs. En moyenne, les restaurateurs constatent une augmentation d’environ 30 % de leur chiffre d’affaires sur un an. Moyennant une commission à taux variable à destination des plateformes (entre 10 et 30 %), les hôteliers délèguent la livraison de leurs plats aux plateformes. Un investissement rentable pour eux, c’est pourquoi chaque jour de nouvelles enseignes rentrent dans ce système.
Mais est-ce que devenir un maillon de cette chaîne, signifie forcément que l’on cautionne ce mode de fonctionnement ? Les restaurateurs ont-ils conscience des conditions de travail de ceux qu’ils ne croisent que quelques secondes, le temps de leur tendre une commande ? Quel lien entretiennent-ils avec eux ? Et pourraient-ils faire leur job à leur place ?
